Unveiled: Haas special livery for F1 United States GP

The newly unveiled Haas special livery design will debut in this weekend’s Formula 1 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in Austin, as the team celebrates their home race.

The one-off design is a vibrant homage to the team’s American heritage, embracing a bold stars and stripes theme inspired directly by the United States flag.

The new livery is a striking departure from their usual race colors yet retains core elements of the team’s identity, representing both pride in their roots and a statement of intent on one of the global F1 stage’s most iconic tracks.

For the 2025 F1 US GP, Haas has once again capitalized on Austin’s tradition of unique race weekend liveries, building on similar special designs from the past three seasons at COTA.

This year’s livery prominently features the iconic red, white, and blue color palette of the American flag. The VF-25 race cars have been decked out with stars and stripes motifs, prominently displayed across the front and rear wings, sidepods, and engine cover.

This bold visual not only symbolizes the team’s pride in its American foundations but also enhances its presence on track during this key event.

The red, white, and black base colors that Haas fans have grown accustomed to throughout the season continue to anchor the design, creating a harmonious blend of tradition and patriotic flair.

Haas special livery was revealed in social media video carrying a tagline borrowed from Bruce Springsteen’s iconic phrase “Born in the USA. Built for COTA,” perfectly encapsulating the spirit behind the design and linking it to the team’s connection with American culture.

The United States Grand Prix marks one of three home events for the Kannapolis, North Carolina based squad alongside events in Miami and Las Vegas, solidifying the US as a crucial and exciting territory for the squad.

COTA is a physically demanding and technically complex circuit, and Haas aims to match its special livery with competitive performances.

Heading into the weekend, Haas sits ninth in the current F1 championship standings, with their drivers Esteban Ocon and rookie Ollie Bearman collectively accruing 46 points.

“We’re very excited for the United States Grand Prix, COTA always feels like home,” team principal Ayao Komatsu said. “It’s a busy week with a lot of activities, but with the added fact that it’s a Sprint, you’re running off adrenaline the entire weekend.

“It was great to get back scoring points in Singapore with Ollie, and here in COTA we’re really looking to get both drivers into point scoring positions.

“We’re bringing a small upgrade package here, but since it’s a Sprint weekend, we will only have FP1 to evaluate it, so it’s even more crucial that we hit the ground running.

“We’re very much looking forward to the challenge!”

Bearman expressed optimism about the car’s pace and the new upgrade package that could provide additional competitiveness on the track.

“It feels like we’re building momentum each weekend,” said Bearman. “We know the car is fast and with another update coming to the VF-25 in Austin, I feel like this should be a strong weekend.

“This will be my first F1 US GP as a MoneyGram Haas F1 Team driver, so I know it’s going to be full on, but it’s so nice to soak in the atmosphere and passion from all the American fans.

“Sharing a mutual passion and love for this team and sport, COTA will be a highlight of this season for sure.”

Bearman’s team-mate Esteban Ocon added: “I’m excited to head back to Austin, especially as a MoneyGram Haas F1 Team driver. It is such a cool city with so much energy, and I always look forward to coming back.

“This is one of our home races, so we know the American fans will again provide an amazing atmosphere throughout the weekend. COTA is a fun but challenging circuit which always produces some entertaining racing.

“After Singapore, I’ve been working hard at my training centre and on the simulator with the team – aiming to have a strong weekend and maximise every opportunity that comes our way.

“I’m looking forward to getting back out there, show off our special livery, and hopefully give our home fans plenty to cheer for.”
