Formula 1 and the FIA have revealed 2026 F1 Sprint Race venues and dates featuring three new hosts joining three returning favorites, all poised to offer a thrilling spectacle in conjunction with the debut of new technical regulations.
The 2026 Sprint calendar kicks off in Asia with the Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai International Circuit from March 13th to 15th.
Following this, the series heads to the United States for the Miami Grand Prix between May 1st and 3rd. Miami having hosted Sprint Races since 2024 retains its spot with the unique street circuit layout that pushes drivers to their limits over multiple competitive sessions during the weekend.
Making their debut as Sprint Race hosts in 2026 are three distinguished Grands Prix: Canada, Great Britain, and Singapore.
The Canadian Grand Prix held at the iconic Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montréal, is scheduled for May 22nd to 24th. This will mark the first time Montréal hosts a Sprint event, bringing a new dynamic to a circuit known for its high-speed straights and tight corners.
The British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the original venue to introduce the Sprint format in 2021, returns to the Sprint calendar from July 3rd to 5th.
Later in the season, the Sprint Race travels to Europe’s scenic Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, set from August 21st to 23rd.
The Zandvoort circuit, nestled along the North Sea coast, will host its first-ever Sprint event, adding excitement to its final Formula 1 appearance before it is scheduled to depart the calendar after 2026.
Capping off the 2026 F1 Sprint calendar is another newcomer: the Singapore Grand Prix, held on the iconic Marina Bay Street Circuit from October 9th to 11th.
Singapore, known for its nighttime racing under lights and a track layout demanding ultimate precision, will stage its inaugural Sprint Race in what will undoubtedly be a spectacular event.
This addition is set to widen the appeal of the Sprint format into the latter stages of the championship, offering a unique blend of high-speed street racing and strategic endurance over the weekend.
Interestingly, unlike previous seasons, the final six rounds of the 24-race calendar will not feature Sprints, including events in the United States at Austin, Sao Paulo, and Qatar, which will revert to the traditional Grand Prix weekend format.
