Ferrari celebrates Le Mans victory by unveiling special livery for the Italian GP

Ferrari will sport a special one-off livery for this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix, which is their home race, in celebration of their 2023 Le Mans 24 Hours victory.

Ferrari unveiled a special Formula 1 livery that will make an appearance at the crucial home event, the 2023 Italian Grand Prix in Monza as they celebrate their Le Mans victory.

The eye-catching new livery, which Ferrari unveiled on its official social media accounts, honors the Maranello teams’ victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With yellow accents on the back of the car, the design is highly reminiscent to the F1-75’s livery from the previous year, which celebrated Ferrari’s participation in motorsport for 75 years.

The original Ferrari insignia, which is a feature of this year’s car and contrasts sharply with the Maranello red, is still present on the back wing.

This unique livery, which makes more use of the color that Ferrari was first known for: yellow, will also be added to the upper halves of Charles Leclerc’s and Carlos Sainz Jr.’s race suits and helmets.

The SF-23’s nose and engine cover will receive yellow “V” stripes that have been adopted from the Le Mans-winning 499P hypercar, which has the lines running down its sides. In addition to yellow being more prominent, the driver numbers will also be printed in yellow. Sainz’s helmet will also utilize more black than usual.

Ferrari will bring the 499P, a 296 GTE3, and the F2003-GA, which won the 2003 Italian Grand Prix, to Monza.

All three will be on display in the spectator area behind the paddock, and close by, a wall listing all drivers who have won races at Monza in Ferrari will be created. This covers all forms of racing, such as single-seaters and sports cars.

The 1988 Italian GP-winning Ferrari F1-87/88C will be on exhibit in Monza over the weekend.

The new livery and team colors will make their official debut at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, where the Maranello team is hoping to reverse the course of their season so far and secure a truly significant and unforgettable victory for the fans and squad.
