The striking Audi F1 livery was unveiled alongside the R26 concept car as the team prepares for its highly-anticipated Formula 1 debut in 2026.
The reveal took place at a celebratory launch event in Munich where the German marque detailed a striking and innovative approach to both its visual identity and its technical direction as the sport prepares to enter a new era of regulations.
The Audi R26 concept car has been meticulously crafted to deliver maximum visual impact on the grid, blending tradition with state-of-the-art modernity.
The colour palette features an unique titanium finish on the front half of the car that pays direct homage to Germany’s classic motor racing colours as well as Audi’s own legacy within global motorsport.
This comes after Audi recently launched the Concept C with an all-titanium finish, which is a new brand identity that will be rolled out for future models.
Moving along the chassis, the livery transitions into a deep, glossy carbon black which is actually exposed carbon fibre finished to a high gloss, underscoring the car’s lightweight construction and technological prowess.
The R26 is further accented by a fluorescent Lava Red—a vibrant, forward-looking shade developed specifically for Audi’s latest generation of performance vehicles and now central to their Formula 1 branding.
Emblazoned across the bodywork are Audi’s iconic four rings, sharply contrasting against the sleek surfaces and geometric cuts of the livery.
The Audi F1 livery is intended to be “the most striking on the grid”, setting a new benchmark for automotive identity in Formula 1 and driving home their ambition to be “the most daring brand off the track”.
“Motorsport is part of the Audi DNA and has always been the driving force behind technological progress and innovation,” Audi’s CEO Gernot Dollner said. “By entering the pinnacle of motorsport, Audi is making a clear, ambitious statement.
“It is the next chapter in the company’s renewal and Formula 1 will be a catalyst for the change towards a leaner, faster and more innovative Audi. We are not entering Formula 1 just to be there, we want to win.
“At the same time, we know that you don’t become a top team overnight. It takes time, perseverance and tireless questioning of the status quo. By 2030, we want to fight for the World Championship title.”
Former Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto has been leading the new F1 project alongside team principal Jonathan Wheatley who joined earlier this year after nearly two decades with Red Bull.
Binotto who was present at the Audi R26 concept car launch added: “This is the most exciting project in motorsports, if not in all sports. The goal is clear: to fight for championships by 2030 and that journey takes time, the right people and a mindset of continuous improvement.
“Formula 1 is one of the most competitive environments. Becoming a champion is a journey of progress. Mistakes will happen, but learning from them is what drives transformation.”

Wheatley echoed Binotto’s sentiments adding: “This journey is not just about the destination but about engaging with the people who make every step possible. It is about your mindset, focus, resilience and confidence without complacency.

Meanwhile, current Sauber drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto will remain at the helm for the team’s debut 2026 F1 season.
