The Nissan Formula E driver line-up will remain unchanged for the 2025-26 ABB FIA Formula E Season 12 with world champion Oliver Rowland partnering Norman Nato, the team has confirmed.
The announcement follows a remarkably successful Season 11 campaign where the team achieved a third-place finish in the Teams’ World Championship, marking their best performance since Nissan assumed full ownership of the team after previously partnering with e.dams.
“Following a very successful season, we’ve decided to maintain our driver line-up for Season 12,” said Tommaso Volpe, managing director and team principal of Nissan Formula E Team.
“We’re keen to consolidate our operations as we look to further improve on the work carried out both on and off-track since we took full control of our operations in the sport.
“I am sure that the stability and consistency that we’ve built with both Oli and Norman will help us continue our remarkable progression and fight for all three championships again next season.”
Reigning Formula E World Champion Oliver Rowland will embark on his sixth consecutive season with Nissan under a multi-year deal.
Rowland’s return to the team in the 2023-24 season was marked by an impressive performance featuring three pole positions, seven podiums, and four race victories that culminated in securing Season 11 Formula E Drivers’ World Championship title.
Having made his full-time series debut with Nissan back in Season 5, Rowland laid the foundation of his tenure with three initial years before returning in Season 10 to reignite his momentum and ultimately claim the world title in Season 11.
“I’m thrilled to sign with Nissan Formula E Team on a multi-year deal, in what will be my sixth season with the squad,” the 32-year old driver said.
“What we’ve managed to achieve following my return in 2023-24 has been remarkable. Since I came to Formula E, the team has felt like my home, and I have a high level of trust with them as well as plenty of support.
“The aim for Formula E Season 12 is to replicate and improve on what we did last campaign, but we know how hard we need to work in the off-season to achieve the best results possible.”

Meanwhile, Norman Nato will continue alongside Rowland for a third season rounding out a stable Nissan Formula E driver line-up for the first time since Season 7.
The French driver with a race victory and pole position under his belt, first joined Nissan in Season 9. He quickly established himself as a consistent points scorer and was instrumental in securing the team’s first podium under complete Nissan ownership at the Rome E-Prix.
After a brief hiatus racing for Andretti, Nato returned to the team and demonstrated solid pace including claiming pole position in Miami.
While Nato’s overall standings in Season 11 were less prominent, with a 20th-place finish due to missed races and some penalties, his experience and steady progress were enough for Nissan to extend his contract, confident in his potential to contribute substantially.
“I’m delighted to continue with Nissan Formula E Team for another season as it was always the target to extend my stay here,” the 33-year old said.
“It’ll be my third campaign with the team and my second consecutive one, which gives me a lot of confidence moving forward.
“I still have plenty of areas to improve on, but I’m not starting from scratch this year so I can use factors I’ve learned in Season 11 to help me in the future.
“I’m sure Oli will perform at a very high level again and I’m positive that together we can fight for the teams’ championship.”
