Francesco Bagnaia battled his way through Q1 to claim a spectacular pole position for the the 2025 Malaysian MotoGP at Sepang.
Amongst the key challengers, Alex Marquez of the BK8 Gresini Ducati team was a notable protagonist narrowly missing pole position by just 0.016 seconds as he charges to secure second place in the 2025 World Championship standings this weekend.
Close behind him, VR46’s Franco Morbidelli completed an all-Ducati front row, showcasing their dominance at the venue.
Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo appeared a serious contender for pole and was on course to snatch the top spot until the final sector of his last lap compromised his attempt, relegating him to fourth on the grid.
