Lando Norris once again dominated final practice to complete a clean sweep of all practice sessions ahead of the weekend’s qualifying.
Norris edged out his closest rival and McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri by 0.242 seconds, while George Russell was the best of the rest in third place, trailing Norris by nearly nine-tenths of a second.
Russell’s session was overshadowed by a notable pit lane incident where he nearly collided with Fernando Alonso and is actively being investigated by race stewards.
Carlos Sainz secured an impressive fourth for Williams, just ahead of home favorite and four-time world champion Max Verstappen who continued to struggle with pace and found himself roughly a second behind Norris’s benchmark.
Charles Leclerc struggled to find grip and consistent pace but managed to record the sixth-fastest time. However, his Ferrari teammate Lewis Hamilton finished down in 14th after facing similar challenges, underpinning yet another disappointing weekend for the Scuderia.
Alex Albon took seventh followed by Lance Stroll who made a commendable comeback after his heavy crash in FP2, while Racing Bulls’ Isack Hadjar and Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso rounded out the top ten.
