Williams marks the last team to announce launch date for 2022 F1 car

Williams Racing announced today the date of the unveiling of the 2022 Formula 1 car, the FW44 for the upcoming season, marking the last team to announce their launch date.

The FW44, Williams’ F1 car for 2022, will be unveiled at a digital launch on Tuesday (February 15).

“Williams Racing is pleased to announce that the team will hold its digital season launch event on Tuesday 15th February at 13:00 GMT, available to view exclusively on the Williams website,” Williams announced in a statement.

“Further details on how to view the digital launch will be shared ahead of the event.”

“Williams will also provide a wide range of assets on the day for media, including a full press kit and broadcast content.”

With former Red Bull and Toro Rosso racer Alexander Albon joining forces with Nicholas Latifi, Williams will enter 2022 with a partially revamped driver lineup.

The Williams 2022 F1 car will be the first brand-new Formula 1 car created by Williams since the death of the team’s co-founder Sir Frank Williams . It’s also the first since Dorilton Capital bought the firm from the Williams family in 2020.

Williams’ 2022 F1 car launch will take place during a busy week that will also see the launch of new cars from AlphaTauri (February 14), Ferrari (February 17), and Mercedes (February 18). (February 18).

This week, three teams will launch on consecutive days: Red Bull (February 9), Aston Martin (February 10) and McLaren (February 11). (February 11).

Alpine will debut two days before testing, on February 21, while Alfa Romeo will debut its new car in a temporary livery before unveiling its full livery on February 27.
