TGR Haas F1 Team has rolled out a one‑of‑a‑kind, Godzilla‑themed livery for this weekend’s Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.
In a move that blends motorsport and pop‑culture mythology the American-based outfit has partnered with storied Japanese entertainment studio behind the Godzilla franchise, TOHO, to create a special‑edition race‑car design that will appear on the VF‑26 entries of Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon.
The unveiling took center stage at an event in Tokyo Midtown Hibiya on March 24, underscoring the significance of this collaboration both for the team and for Japanese motorsport fans.
This landmark livery is not merely a short‑term cosmetic change; it is the first visible element of a broader season‑long partnership between Haas and TOHO, aimed at amplifying awareness of both the TGR Haas F1 Team and the Godzilla brand across global audiences.
The deal sees the “King of the Monsters” appear on the VF‑26 cars at multiple race weekends with the Japanese Grand Prix serving as the marquee launchpad.
Coming just weeks after TOHO’s highly anticipated release campaign for Godzilla Minus One and its follow‑up projects, the timing positions Formula 1’s visit to Japan as a major cultural crossover moment, linking cutting‑edge motorsport with one of Japan’s most iconic cinematic exports.
The visual identity of the special Godzilla‑themed livery stays rooted in Haas’ core color palette of white, black and red, ensuring brand continuity while layering in bold Godzilla graphics.
Across the engine covers and upper bodywork, the “King of the Monsters” motif is rendered in a stylized, high‑contrast treatment that merges reptilian scales and jagged silhouettes with the precision‑engineering aesthetic of a modern F1 power unit.
Subtle anatomical cues evoking Godzilla’s dorsal plates and facial contours are woven into the bodywork, turning the VF‑26 into a rolling tribute to the franchise without sacrificing the technical rigor Formula 1 demands.

The special Godzilla‑themed livery comes as a huge emotional boost for Haas after a strong start to the 2026 campaign. The team ranks fourth in the current championship standings after Oliver Bearman scored points in both the Australian and Chinese grands prix.
“The Japanese Grand Prix is another one of our home races, this season returning with our title partner Toyota Gazoo Racing,” Haas team boss Ayao Komatsu said. “So it’s a really big race for us. We’re motivated to carry on the momentum we got from the first two races, and I think the team is working really well.
“Suzuka will post a very different challenge from Shanghai, but at least so far on two different circuits, we’ve managed to adapt our approach well to get the best out of our car and drivers.
“Our target in Suzuka is to again focus on the fundamentals and then try to get both cars into double points, that’s what we’re aiming for. I’m also really excited to see all the Japanese fans as we unveil our special Godzilla-themed livery in Tokyo.
“This collaboration is a first and is truly exciting, it really shows a part of who we are as a team and our identity, so I hope fans enjoy this fun livery.”
