Red Bull unveils one-off livery for Las Vegas Grand Prix

Red Bull has unveiled an unique livery for its cars ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Red Bull has unveiled their “The Neon Bull” 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix livery, which pays homage to the city of lights.

Formula 1 will travel to the United States for the third time this season for the first-ever race at the Las Vegas Street Circuit, as the historic event has been widely anticipated for more than 40 years.

Red Bull announced the updated livery designs for the Las Vegas Grand Prix ahead of this weekend’s race. Fans were urged to send in their own designs for all three of the US races this season.

They offered their fans a range of options, and the winning design heavily drew inspiration from the gambling heritage of Formula One’s newest location. But what’s really getting people talking is how the new design was revealed in front of a sizable crowd.

This time, the car has gold and purple accents, along with playing cards and casino chips to symbolize the town’s strong gambling culture.

The car also features poker chip elements which have the numbers 1 and 11 on them to correspond with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez’s race numbers.

Additionally, the playing cards feature their initials in each corner, and the RB19 is sporting a fabricated Las Vegas sign as it attempts to prevail this weekend.

The fan-designed livery for Las Vegas showcases the city as it gets ready to host Formula 1 for the first time in 41 years. Previously, the team opted for stars and stripes for the United States Grand Prix in Austin and switched out the colors for Miami earlier in the season.

“It is brilliant to be rounding off our third and final Make Your Mark competition this season here in Nevada for the inaugural Las Vegas GP,” Red Bull team boss Christian Horner said. “It is such a unique way to bring fans into the heart of the Team, giving them the opportunity to design and vote for our Las Vegas livery through our free loyalty programme, The Paddock.

“We have revealed a fan-designed livery at every US race this year and each design has well and truly delivered; it was quite the task picking a winner.

“Congratulations to Lindsay, who really put Vegas’ iconic stamp on the design, capturing the energy and excitement of both the city and the Team.

“Very much looking forward to seeing it racing around the streets of Las Vegas. From what I have seen on the Sim though, that long straight is an incredibly fast one, so you are going to have to keep a close eye on things as the cars fly past under the bright lights of The Strip.

“It is going to be a special race made even more special by celebrating with a fan-designed livery as we head into the final US race of the season.”

Ferrari, Williams and Alpine reveal special liveries for Las Vegas

It’s not just Red Bull who have shaken things up for the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Williams also unveiled a special livery that incorporates the well-known Vegas sign, while Ferrari is bringing it back with a gorgeous red and white scheme for its cars that pay homage to Niki Lauda’s championship-winning cars from 1975 and 1977.

Alpine will also showcase a brand-new livery on the Las Vegas Street Circuit.
