Red Bull staff send a hilarious message to Horner

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner received a hilarious message from some of his staff in a recent YouTube video shared on the team’s official account.

During the current F1 summer break, Red Bull staff members enjoyed some well deserved vacation and delivered a witty message to team boss Christian Horner.

Three members of the pit crew were captured in a video on their official YouTube account having a good time cruising around Monaco’s waters on a Red Bull speedboat.

The group also played cards, had a little wakeboarding, and kept themselves hydrated by drinking Red Bull from a huge case they had on hand. All three of the employees appeared in the film with identical Red Bull racing gear, including helmets.

To tease their boss Horner with the vacation delight, they read an opening caption: “Dear Christian, we’re having a lovely summer down here in Monaco.

“The weather is perfect and we’re getting to kick back and relax.

“A cold Red Bull tastes even better out on the water. Daniel got the wakeboard out and it’s my turn!”

As part of the video, the staff also sent Horner a postcard to say that they are enjoying the “lovely summer” and to wish him well.

‘See you in Zandvoort’ had been written at the bottom of the postcard.

The summer break comes to an end with the Dutch Grand Prix at the end of August, where Max Verstappen will be gunning for his third straight victory at his home event. Zandvoort has become somewhat of a stronghold for the reigning World Champion after he triumphed there in 2021 and 2022.

Verstappen would practically have the grip to a third World Championship if he won his home race, which would be his ninth straight victory in 2023 and his 11th overall.

The Milton Keynes-based team’s winning streak, which began with the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, would be extended to 14 races with a victory from Verstappen or Sergio Perez.

At the midpoint of the season, Red Bull is in the top spot in the constructor rankings with a whopping 503 points, far ahead of Mercedes in second place with 247 points.

Max Verstappen is in first place in the drivers standings with 314 points, about 125 points ahead of Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez in second. Fernando Alonso and Aston Martin are third with 149 points, putting Red Bull in a commanding position for another run as champions this season.

The Dutchman has such a huge advantage that he could theoretically skip the next five races and certainly secure the championship title.
