IndyCar has officially published the Indianapolis 500 entry list 2026, confirming a full complement of 33 cars for the 110th running of the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing”.
The released roster includes all the 25 cars that participate in the regular season championship, plus an additional 8 one-off entries fielded by several teams, blending proven veterans, past winners and a lively crop of rookies that promises intense competition when green lights drop on May 28.
Meyer Shank Racing, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and Arrow McLaren have confirmed third entries for returning Indy 500 champions Helio Castroneves, Takuma Sato and Ryan Hunter-Reay, respectively.
ECR will run a third car for team owner Ed Carpenter, while AJ Foyt Racing fields Indy 500 veteran Katherine Legge in partnership with HMD Motorsports.
The list also includes two returning teams, notably Dreyer & Reinbold Racing which will field Conor Daly and Jack Harvey, while Abel Motorsports will be running Jacob Abel.
Four-time IndyCar champion Alex Palou heads into this year’s race as the defending winner and will face off against eight former winners on the list.
