Lando Norris delivered a commanding performance at the Miami Grand Prix Sprint to seal his first victory of the 2026 Formula 1 season in a McLaren 1-2 finish.
Norris finished 3.766 seconds clear of teammate Oscar Piastri, with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc completing the podium more than six seconds behind the McLaren duo, a margin that reflected the pace of the upgraded MCL40.
Mercedes’ Sprint ended in more punitive fashion, with Kimi Antonelli’s performance undone by a series of track‑limits infringements that ultimately demoted him from fourth on the road to sixth.
This promoted teammate George Russell to fourth, while Red Bull’s Max Verstappen climbed to fifth in the final classifications.
Further down, Lewis Hamilton slotted the second Ferrari into seventh followed by Pierre Gasly and Isack Hadjar, while Franco Colapinto rounded out the top 10 in a gritty drive for Alpine.
