Updated starting grid for the 2025 Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix following Red Bull’s decision to hand Yuki Tsunoda a new power unit.
Tsunoda who had qualified a disappointing 19th will now start Sunday’s race from the pit lane as his RB21 takes on a new internal combustion engine, turbocharger, MGU-H, MGU-K, and an exhaust.
That means Lewis Hamilton moves up one position to fill the grid slot vacated by Tsunoda.
Meanwhile, Lando Norris edged out reigning World Champion Max Verstappen by 0.323 seconds to claim pole position, positioning the McLaren driver at the very front of the Las Vegas grid alongside his title rival.
Carlos Sainz will head the second row after securing an impressive third place for Williams, joined by Mercedes’s George Russell who put in a solid performance to line up just behind the frontrunners.
Norris’s McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri will start his race from the third row alongside Racing Bulls Liam Lawson who qualified in sixth, with Fernando Alonso and Isack Hadjar filling out the next row in seventh and eighth, respectively.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Alpine’s Pierre Gasly rounded out the top ten, taking the fifth row on the grid.
