The lineup, one car less compared to the 2025 grid, splits into 17 Hypercars and 18 LMGT3 entries, showcasing 14 major manufacturers and highlighting the series’ growing appeal with the debut of Genesis Magma Racing in the top class.
Absent are Porsche’s factory 963 efforts from Porsche Penske Motorsport and Proton Competition’s privateer Hypercar, as Porsche shifts focus to IMSA while Proton pivots fully to LMGT3 with Ford Mustangs.
The grid‘s diversity underscores WEC’s status as the pinnacle of endurance racing, blending cutting-edge hybrid prototypes with production-derived GT machinery, all set against an eight-round calendar kicking off at Lusail International Circuit on March 28.
