2026 IMSA SportsCar Championship calendar: 11 rounds, venues and dates confirmed

The 2026 IMSA SportsCar Championship calendar features no changes in the number of venues and dates amid minor tweaks in event formats for two rounds.

The season officially kicks off with the 64th annual Rolex 24 At Daytona at the end of January, just a week after the renowned Roar Before the 24 test event.

Following Daytona, the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring returns in March, another marquee endurance clash that has tested drivers’ grit and machines’ durability for decades.

After the endurance opener segment, IMSA transitions into the sprint racing portion of the calendar in April beginning with the Grand Prix of Long Beach, known for its close racing and unforgiving walls.

May kicks off with the Monterey SportsCar Championship at Laguna Seca, followed closely by the Detroit Sports Car Classic, continuing IMSA’s commitment to combining historic road courses with urban street venues to provide variety and excitement.

After a summer break featuring the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans overseas, IMSA resumes stateside racing with the Six Hours of Watkins Glen taking place at the end of June.

July features the Chevrolet Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, another challenging venue known for its fast and flowing layout.

August ushers in the upgraded six-hour event at Road America, providing one of the longest and most demanding races on the IMSA calendar.

The season then continues with the VIR GT Challenge at Virginia International Raceway in late August, noted for its technical challenges and elevation changes, providing a test of driver skill and car setup.

The shorter sprint format at Indianapolis follows in September, building anticipation for the final championship showdown – the Motul Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta in early October.
