Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli topped the timesheets on the penultimate day of Formula 1 testing with a blistering lap time of 1:32.803 that set a new benchmark for the entire testing period so far.

McLaren’s Oscar Piastri slotted into second place just 0.058 seconds adrift, while Red Bull’s Max Verstappen secured third, 0.359s off Antonelli’s pace.

Ferrari’s day was a mixture of promise and frustration with Lewis Hamilton taking fourth overall despite losing significant time to a technical issue in the morning session.

Lando Norris held fifth after his earlier morning benchmark, while Alpine’s Franco Colapinto impressed in sixth, outpacing expectations with solid lap times and strong simulated starts.

George Russell’s morning efforts landed him in eighth as Haas’ Esteban Ocon and Racing Bulls’ Liam Lawson rounded out the top ten.

Aston Martin’s struggles persisted as Fernando Alonso triggered a red flag with a mechanical stoppage, highlighting ongoing reliability concerns for the team as they logged only 68 laps before the interruption.
