Oscar Piastri seized the lead from his McLaren teammate Lando Norris on lap 5 and held off his charge throughout the race to ultimately secure victory and extend his championship lead to 16 points.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc put on a strong and composed drive to claim third, fending off persistent attacks from Max Verstappen who struggled to find pace after running a high-downforce setup.
George Russell delivered a strong performance for Mercedes to finish fifth while Lewis Hamilton stole headlines with a remarkable comeback from seventeenth to claim seventh.
Liam Lawson delivered another mature drive for Racing Bulls in eighth, Gabriel Bortoleto put in a breakthrough performance to secure ninth for Kick Sauber while Pierre Gasly (Alpine) rounded out the top ten.
