Following the conclusion of Sunday’s Mobil 1 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Playoff standings have taken shape as postseason battle intensifies.
Race winner Ryan Blaney took over as the new points leader and automatically secured his place in the Round of 8, as Ross Chastain, Austin Cindric, Tyler Reddick, and Bubba Wallace fell below the cutline.
Chastain’s impressive ninth place finish was insufficient to lift him above the cutoff and currently holds the ninth playoff spot, just ahead of Cindric who finished the race in 17th.
Reddick suffered brake issues which culminated in a 21st-place finish, while Bubba struggled with car setup and faded from contention finishing 26th. Both occupy 11th and 12th in the standings, respectively, 23 and 27 points below the cutoff.
William Byron stands just two points shy of Blaney after claiming third at New Hampshire, while Kyle Larson holds the third spot, just 6 points behind his Hendrick Motorsports teammate.
Christopher Bell follows in fourth after posting a respectable sixth-place finish on Sunday, while Joe Gibbs teammate Denny Hamlin dropped from the championship lead to fifth in the points following a 12th place run.
Joey Logano’s fourth place finish dragged the defending NASCAR Cup Series champion from elimination zone to sixth, with 24 points over the cutoff.
Chase Elliott ranks seventh after a strong fifth-place finish, while Chase Briscoe rounds out the top eight playoff spots with a 12-point advantage over the cutoff threshold.
