
NASCAR heads to Chicagoland Speedway for a full Independence Day weekend of racing with ARCA, O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and the Cup Series all on the bill from July 3-5 in Joliet, Illinois.
The 1.5-mile oval returns to the schedule after a seven-year break, replacing the Chicago Street Course and the new venue marks Round 2 of the In-Season Challenge which got underway at Sonoma Raceway last weekend.
ARCA Menards Series Ashley Furniture 150 Race is up first on Friday evening, followed by the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Cuervo 300 on Saturday evening, while the NASCAR Cup Series eero 400 takes center stage on Sunday.
Denny Hamlin heads to Chicagoland Speedway as the new points leader after leapfrogging Tyler Reddick by a single point following Sonoma. Race winner Shane van Gisbergen jumped three positions back inside the Chase as the championship battle heats up with just eight races left in the regular season.
