F1 2026 Italian Grand Prix schedule: Start times and how to watch

The 2026 Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix at Monza unfolds across the classic three-day race weekend from September 4-6.

Autodromo Nazionale Monza, affectionately known as the Temple of Speed, hosts Round 13 of the 2026 F1 World Championship with a traditional non-Sprint format that provides teams and drivers five hours of track time before the checkered flag waves on Sunday afternoon.

Track action begins on Friday with both practice sessions, giving engineers and drivers their first real-world data run on the low-downforce, high-speed Monza layout where full-throttle percentage ranks among the highest on the calendar.

Saturday morning brings a final hour of practice after which the competitive order crystallizes in Qualifying, determining the starting grid for Sunday’s Grand Prix which will feature 53 laps.

Fans worldwide can follow every moment live via regional broadcast partners including Sky Sports F1 in the UK, Apple TV in the US, while F1 TV Pro offers worldwide coverage.

Championship leader Kimi Antonelli heads to his home race facing a grid penalty after opting for a fresh power unit, opening the door for rivals Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and Lando Norris to close the gap in the title fight.

Ferrari also heads to Monza buoyed by the Tifosi and a special Michael Schumacher tribute livery to mark the 30th anniversary of his first championship, as the team seeks a third victory of the season.

McLaren meanwhile arrives as the team to beat following back-to-back victories in Hungary and Netherlands with Norris.
