Filipe Albuquerque powered the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac V.Series.R to the fastest lap in night practice for the IMSA Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring under the floodlights.
In a 90‑minute session that doubled as the final opportunity for teams to tune their cars in full darkness before qualifying, the Portuguese ace produced a best lap of 1:47.713 to end Thursday running as the outright pacesetter in the GTP class, edging a stacked field of factory prototypes by the narrowest of margins.
From the moment the green flag waved for night practice, the atmosphere at Sebring shifted from the hot, abrasive intensity of the afternoon to a cooler, faster, and more treacherous challenge that previewed the conditions expected in the closing hours of Saturday’s 2026 IMSA Sebring 12 Hours classic.
Behind Albuquerque, BMW and its customer operation Team WRT emerged as the closest threat with Sheldon van der Linde hustling the No. 25 BMW M Hybrid V8 to within 0.041 seconds of the Cadillac benchmark.
The two Porsche Penske 963s which set the pace earlier in the day, ended up third and fourth with Julien Andlauer’s No. 7 half a tenth up on Felipe Nasr’s No. 6, while the No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-06 of Tom Blomqvist occupied fifth on the timing screens.
Further down the order, the sister No. 93 Acura was eighth quickest and suffered a minor incident when Nick Yelloly reportedly hit the wall at Turn 15, damaging the car’s bodywork.

Shifting to LMP2, Inter Europol dominated final Sebring practice with Tom Dillmann setting a 1:50.056 during his extended stint in the No. 43 ORECA.
The No. 99 AO Racing Oreca of Jonny Edgar was fast again and concluded the night second, just 0.053 seconds adrift, while the No. 2 United Autosports completed the top three, all three cars within six tenths of each other.
Jack Hawksworth ended up fastest of all GT cars with a blistering 1:59.895 lap time set in the No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3, the only car to set a sub-two-minute lap.
Antonio Fuoco, meanwhile, paced GTD in the No. 21 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo, beating Scott Andrews’ No. 21 Lone Star Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3.
Elsewhere in the class, a brief spin for Salih Yoluc at Turn 13 in DXDT’s Corvette in the closing stages brought out the session’s only red flag.
