Updated Assen MotoGP 2025 qualifying results – Fabio Quartararo edged Francesco Bagnaia to claim pole position while Enea Bastianini received a three-place grid penalty for impeding.
Quartararo’s pole lap clocked at 1:30.651 enough to edge out Bagnaia by a mere 0.028 seconds, marking factory Yamaha’s fourth pole position of the season.
Alex Marquez secured the third and final spot on the front row ahead of his brother Marc Marquez who qualified fourth despite enduring two crashes on Friday, marking the second time this season he would start from the second row.
Marco Bezzecchi qualified fifth for Aprilia ahead of Franco Morbidelli who rounded out the second row in sixth. Morbidelli’s VR46 teammate Fabio Di Giannantonio took eighth with Gresini’s Fermin Aldeguer splitting the duo.
KTM Factory rookie Pedro Acosta qualified ninth ahead of stablemate Maverick Viñales who placed tenth for Tech 3.
The session only saw one incident involving Ai Ogura who crashed early, relegating the Trackhouse rookie to 20th on the grid. Meanwhile, Enea Bastianini received a three-place grid penalty for impeding Alex Rins during Q1, further complicating his race prospects.
