VR46 Ducati reveals brand-new livery and sponsors for 2024 MotoGP

The VR46 Ducati team revealed its brand-new livery featuring new title sponsor Pertamina for their 2024 MotoGP campaign.

Valentino Rossi’s VR46 Ducati Racing team has revealed its 2024 MotoGP livery which has changed significantly as the team welcomes Pertamina as its new title sponsor.

VR46 Ducati’s 2024 riders which include three-time 2023 race winner Marco Bezzecchi and new arrival Fabio Di Gianantonio were on site to take the covers off both of their Desmosedici bikes. The Palazzo dei Congressi in Riccione served as the live broadcast venue for the VR46 event just 20 minutes from the Italian birthplace of team owner Valentino Rossi.

Indonesia’s state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina has replaced Mooney as the official title partner of the VR46 team along with the launch of its Pertamina Enduro lubricant brand.

This season, the Ducati customer team will sport a completely different colour scheme as white replaces the black on the top and rear of the bike, while the iconic yellow coloring remains prominent at the front and along the bottom of the bike.

The global online auction brand eBay is also prominently displayed along the Desmosedici’s flanks, while Pertamina’s Enduro brand is emblazoned down the side against a red backdrop.

Bezzecchi will be back in 2024 as a member of a lineup that has been updated to include Fabio Di Giannantonio. Both the team and their star rider saw significant progress in their sophomore year, with the latter placing third in the riders’ standings and winning three grand prixs.

Bezzecchi chose to stick with VR46 despite being given the opportunity to race a factory Ducati in Pramac colors in 2024.

Meanwhile, Di Gianantonio will be looking to maintain the progress he had with Gresini over the second part of his maiden premier class campaign. After a difficult first season and a half in MotoGP, he managed to get to grips with the machine and won the Qatar Grand Prix

However, the one-time winner took sanctuary at VR46 after losing his Gresini Ducati ride to Marc Marquez for the current season as he replaced Marini after the latter inked a two-year contract with Honda.

The VR46 team will be racing year-old Ducati bikes as it enters the last year of its current agreement with the Italian manufacturer.

VR46 has made it clear in recent months that remaining as a Ducati satellite is its first priority, but the team has been recently linked to a 2025 switch to Yamaha as the Japanese company tries to add two more bikes to its lineup.

Three days of testing at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit will kick off the 2024 MotoGP season on February 6.
