Ty Gibbs moved up to fourth in the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series points standings after winning Sunday’s Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway, round 8 of 36.
Gibbs, who was sixth in the standings heading into the day, is now 105 points behind championship leader Tyler Reddick.
Reddick continued his reign at the top with a solid fourth-place result but his advantage was slashed to 62 markers by Ryan Blaney who finished second in the race.
Shane van Gisbergen dropped to the Chase cut line after a dismal 34th-place finish, hanging on by a single point over Chase Briscoe, who rallied to the 17th spot in the standings with a fifth-place run at Bristol.
