Marc Marquez tops the list of MotoGP riders with highest salaries

Marc Marquez was the most paid MotoGP rider on the 2023 grid despite his fallout with Honda.

Marc Marquez received a base salary of $16 million, which was more than twice the amount of the two most recent World Champions in the championship, Pecco Bagnaia and Fabio Quartararo.

According to data compilation website Sportspayouts, the Spaniard received the salary as part of aย five-year contract he signed in 2019 and the Spaniard finished his eleventh final season with the Repsol Honda Team in 2023.

2023 MotoGP championship runner-upย Jorge Martinย looks like something of a bargain at $4 millionย compared to his departing Pramac Ducati teammate Johann Zarco, earning $675k.ย Marco Bezzecchi, who took third place overall in the 2023 standings after putting on a good fightย received ยฃ300k.
