2026 MotoGP Championship standings after Sachsenring Sprint

Jorge Martin stretches his championship advantage to 11 points over Aprilia teammate Marco Bezzecchi who was sidelined from the German MotoGP sprint.

Sachsenring arrived with a new grid layout for 2026, and the field also dealt with the absence of Bezzecchi, who suffered a heavy qualifying crash and was later diagnosed with a displaced left clavicle fracture that required surgery.

That injury removed one of the main championship contenders from the equation and helped Martin protect his position at the top of the table with a solid but unspectacular sixth-place finish.

Fabio di Giannantonio closed to within 13 points with his podium, while Sachsenring Sprint winner Marc Márquez trimmed Martin’s lead to 32 points heading into the last race before summer break.
