WEC 2027 calendar: Full nine-round schedule, Silverstone returns

The 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship schedule expands to nine rounds for the first time in a decade with Silverstone returning to the calendar and the season stretching across five global regions.

WEC has been attracting more manufacturer interest, and the official announcement noted that the grid includes 14 major automotive brands with Ford and McLaren among the names expected to add even more attention to the Hypercar category.

A larger calendar gives manufacturers more opportunities to showcase performance, strategy and reliability, which is exactly what top-level endurance racing is designed to reward.

The season will begin with the traditional Prologue at Lusail International Circuit in late March before the Qatar 1812km gets the racing under way on 27 March.

From there, the championship moves into a fast European block that includes Imola, Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps before the biggest race of the year, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, takes center stage in June.

Silverstone returns to WEC schedule after an eight-year absence. The UK circuit will host a six-hour race on 25 April, marking the third round of the 2027 campaign.

After Le Mans, the championship shifts into its flyaway phase, with the second half of the season taking teams to Brazil, the United States, Japan and the season finale in Bahrain.

This sequence gives the series a familiar global rhythm with each venue offering a different challenge and each round likely to favour different car characteristics, strategies and weather conditions.
