Full 2026 Czech MotoGP starting grid, Brno after suspension and penalty

Ai Ogura will start from pole position for the first time in his MotoGP career after dominating qualifying for the 2026 Czech Grand Prix with a new all-time lap record.

Sunday’s grand prix will feature just 20 riders on the grid after championship leader Marco Bezzecchi was suspended from the rest of the weekend at Brno for slapping a marshal who was helping recover his Aprilia after crashing out of the sprint race.

Meanwhile, Alex Marquez withdrew from the weekend following qualifying due to health reasons, marking a disappointing absence for the Gresini rider who was making his return from shoulder injury.

Toprak Razgatlioglu, who qualified in 21st, has been relegated to the very back of the grid after he was handed a three-place grid penalty for obstructing Tech3 rider Enea Bastianini during Q1.

Accompanying Ogura on the front row are Ducati stablemates Fabio Di Giannantonio and Francesco Bagnaia in second and third, the latter having claimed victory in Saturday’s Tissot Sprint race.

Following Bezzecchi’s suspension, row two now consists of reigning world champion Marc Marquez in fourth position, followed by LCR Honda rookie Diogo Moreira in fifth and Raul Fernandez in sixth.

Pedro Acosta headlines the third row on the leading KTM, joined by Franco Morbidelli on the VR46 Ducati and Jorge Martin who faces a double long-lap penalty.

Row four features Gresini’s Fermin Aldeguer, Honda’s Joan Mir and Tech3’s Maverick Vinales.
