Jake Dennis claimed pole position for the 2025 Formula E Sao Paulo E-Prix following a three-place grid penalty for Pascal Wehrlein despite topping qualifying.
Cupra Kiro’s Dan ticktum inherited second place as Mahindra’s Edoardo Mortara climbed to third ahead of relegated Wehrlein who ultimately settled in fourth.
Post-session penalties further shuffled the grid, with Rowland dropping three places from 10th to 13th , and di Grassi penalized likewise.
Mortara’s teammate Nyck de Vries qualified fifth, while Jaguar’s Antonio Felix Da Costa and Nissan’s Norman Nato followed in sixth and seventh, edging Citroen’s Jean-Eric Vergne.
Mitch Evans demonstrated solid integration in the second Jaguar after delivering the ninth fastest lap, with Envision’s Sebastien Buemi dethroning Oliver Rowland who suffered a three-place grid penalty for a similar infringement as Wehrlein dropping him from 10th to 13th.
