Denny Hamlin held off Kyle Larson to claim his 6th victory of the season and secure the first spot in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs Championship 4.
Hamlin’s Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Christopher Bell and Chase Briscoe finished third and fourth, respectively, supporting the team’s strong showing.
Tyler Reddick emerged as the highest-finishing non-Playoff contender, securing fifth place after a competitive race.
Other playoff drivers such as Joey Logano, Alex Bowman, Kyle Busch, Ryan Preece, and Brad Keselowski completed the top ten, each contributing to a tightly contested race where every position had significant playoff implications.
One of the most dramatic and unfortunate moments of the race involved William Byron, who was poised for a top finish before a late crash dashed his hopes.
Byron, who had won Stage 1 and was leading late in the race, suffered a car malfunction that caused him to lose control and crashed into the back of Ty Dillon’s No. 10 Chevrolet with 31 laps remaining.
This incident not only ended his contention in the South Point 400 but also dashed his chances of advancing to the Playoffs Championship 4.
