Sebastien Buemi secured pole position for the Formula E Mexico City E-Prix after Taylor Barnard’s late drama which saw his apparent pole lap deleted due to track limits violations.
Barnard, gutted but composed, lined up second, while Edoardo Mortara claimed third for Mahindra after a scrappy but effective semi-final showing.
Mitch Evans secured fourth in the Jaguar, benefiting from stable handling that shone in the quarters, while Nico Mueller rounded out the top five as Porsche teammate Pascal Wehrlein struggled down in 11th.
