Pascal Wehrlein delivered a masterclass performance to claim victory in the first race, seizing the championship lead with a commanding display on the challenging Jeddah Corniche Circuit.

The German driver for Porsche executed a flawless race, overcoming early chaos to pull away decisively, finishing over 2.5 seconds ahead of pole-sitter Edoardo Mortara, while Jaguar’s Mitch Evans mounted an impressive charge to finish on the podium.

Porsche’s double delight was completed by Nico Mueller in fourth followed by Antonio Felix da Costa in the second Jaguar.

Nick Cassidy carved through the pack after qualifying outside the top 10 to finish sixth for Citroen, while Sebastien Buemi delivered a gritty seventh for Envision.

Cassidy’s teammate Jean-Eric Vergne recovered to eighth as Andretti’s Jake Dennis and DS Penske’s Taylor Barnard completed the top ten.
