Williams unveils special display livery for Miami Grand Prix

Williams has collaborated with Surge, a modern American artist, to give the team’s famed ‘W’ monogram a new appearance and feel ahead of the first ever Miami Grand Prix.

Surge has also designed a one-of-a-kind graffiti livery for the team’s FW41, which was unveiled on Thursday at a ceremony attended by CEO and Team Principal Jost Capito, as well as drivers Alex Albon and Nicholas Latifi. The livery is on display in the W SouthBeach.

Surge, whose real names are Sergio J. Quinonez, has brought his vibrant, identifiable style from his sketchbooks to the sun-streaked streets of South Florida and beyond. His most recent work demonstrates his affinity for cartoon illustrations and bright colours, with a logo and race car unlike any other.

The distinctive M emblem, which incorporates tributes to Miami and shows off Surge’s unique flair after flipping the W on its head, will be featured throughout the Williams digital channels all weekend.

Fans in Miami can visit the FW41 at W South Beach, as well as the team’s fan zone at 846 Lincoln Road, which is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily until Sunday.
