Two Xfinity Series teams fined for lug nut violation in Atlanta

Following the race at Atlanta Motor Speedway last weekend, NASCAR officials reprimanded two Xfinity Series teams on Tuesday for lug-nut violations.

After the Alsco Uniforms 250 Xfinity Series race on Saturday, the No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet driven by Justin Allgaier and the No. 48 Big Machine Racing Chevy driven by Parker Kligerman both had one unsecured lug nut.

As a result, crew chiefs James Pohlman (car no. 7) and Patrick Donahue (car no. 48) received $5,000 fines each for violating Section 8.8.10.4a of the NASCAR Rule Book regarding safety.

Kligerman earned his third top-10 result in the last four races by placing eighth in the Atlanta race. Allgaier who has already won one Xfinity Series race this season came in 17th.
