Marc Marquez recovered from a dramatic high-speed crash to top Friday’s practice with a commanding performance, proving why he remains the undisputed king of the COTA.

Fabio Di Giannantonio held firm in third for VR46 Ducati, 0.187s off Marquez‘s benchmark, while championship leader Marco Bezzecchi clawed to fourth in a display of raw speed tempered by aggressive entries that flirted with disaster.
Alex Marquez rounded out the top five on the Gresini Ducati as Pedro Acosta slipped to sixth after his KTM was hampered by aero-induced drag.
Jorge Martin recovered from his own afternoon crash to seventh, ahead of Pecco Bagnaia who made Q2 directly for the second straight event.
Luca Marini impressed in ninth for Honda, while Enea Bastianini snagged the last Q2 spot in tenth, a morale boost for KTM Tech3 after his double crash.
