2025 Miami Grand Prix Sprint Results

Updated 2025 Miami Grand Prix Sprint Results following post-race penalties.

Lando Norris won the chaotic race ahead of McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri while Lewis Hamilton completed the podium for Ferrari.

However, it was the flurry of post-race penalties that truly defined the outcome and left several drivers and teams ruing missed opportunities.

Reigning world champion Max Verstappen was initially classified fourth but suffered a dramatic fall down the order after being handed a 10-second penalty for an unsafe release in the pit lane.

The incident happened after Verstappen’s Red Bull was released into the path of Antonelli’s Mercedes, resulting in contact that damaged Verstappen’s front wing and forced Antonelli to miss his scheduled stop.

Williams’ Alex Albon who had crossed the line in fourth-potentially securing the team’s best-ever Sprint result-was also hit with a five-second penalty. Albon’s infraction stemmed from failing to respect the minimum time required under the Safety Car and the penalty relegated him to 11th.

Liam Lawson, already embroiled in controversy for his clash with Alonso, received a five-second penalty for causing the collision. The penalty demoted Lawson from seventh to 13th, compounding his frustration and dealing a blow to Racing Bulls’ aspirations.

Haas’ Ollie Bearman was another casualty of the stewards’ post-race penalties. Bearman’s team was found guilty of an unsafe release during his pit stop, forcing Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg to take evasive action in the pit lane.

The five-second penalty dropped Bearman from eighth to 14th, stripping him of what would have been a well-earned point and marking a harsh lesson in the unforgiving nature of Formula 1.
