Kyle Larson shattered a painful 51-race winless drought with victory in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway.
Larson wheeling the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet outlasted a track-record 18 caution periods, two overtime shootouts, multiple red flag stoppages and a field of fiercely competitive rivals to punch his ticket to Victory Lane for the first time since Kansas Speedway in May 2025.
His triumph also delivered HMS a stunning 1-2 finish with teammate Alex Bowman crossing the line in second place, while polesitter Joey Logano took third after leading a race high 176 laps.
William Byron and Ross Chastain completed the top five, followed by Austin Dillon, Connor Zilisch, Carson Hocevar, Denny Hamlin and Austin Cindric.
