Full Spanish MotoGP 2025 FP1 Results – Alex Marquez emerged as the fastest rider in Friday’s opening practice at Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto.
The session held on a crisp Friday morning set the stage for what promises to be a thrilling race weekend with the Marquez brothers stamping their authority on home soil and sending a clear message to rivals.
Alex Marquez, riding the BK8 Gresini Ducati Desmosedici GP24 delivered a near-flawless performance to top the Spanish MotoGP 2025 FP1 timesheets with a blistering lap of 1:36.831.
The Spaniard’s mastery of the Jerez circuit was evident as he consistently found the perfect balance between aggression and control extracting maximum performance from his Michelin-shod machine.
Hot on his heels was his elder brother Marc Marquez who piloted the Ducati Lenovo Team’s Desmosedici GP25 to second place with a best time of 1:37.188, just 0.0357s off Alex.
Marc’s session was characterized by a challenging start as he struggled to find the optimal setup in the early stages. However, his experience and adaptability shone through in the second half of the session, allowing him to close the gap to Alex and secure a strong position heading into the weekend.
