Red Bull’s RB18 has completed its first laps behind closed doors at Silverstone.

Despite the fact that Red Bull was the second team to reveal their 2022 livery, the 2021 drivers championship winners opted to unveil their new car through rendered images and further presenting a model dummy, certain that they would not give their rivals a hint on the actual car design.

Christian Horner stated that the RB18 will appear drastically different at the start of the season in Bahrain next month.

On Thursday Red Bull drivers Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen had their first chance to drive the RB18 on track. However, the test did not go as planned due to poor weather according to reports.

Despite the weather conditions, Verstappen did receive some time in the RB18, doing 50 laps around Silverstone.

No photos of the track day have been released by Red Bull and Mercedes may also face the same issues later today.
