Daniel Suarez and Trackhouse to part ways at end of 2025

Daniel Suarez and Trackhouse Racing have ‘mutually decided to part ways’ at the conclusion of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season, the driver has confirmed.

This development marks the end of a pivotal chapter for both the driver and the team as Suarez has been an integral part of Trackhouse Racing since its inception in 2021.

Being the first Mexican-born driver to win a NASCAR Cup Series race, Suarez has been a trailblazer in the sport. His journey with the team began when the team made its debut in the Cup Series as the driver of the No. 99 Chevrolet.

Over the course of five seasons, Daniel Suarez and Trackhouse Racing achieved notable milestones, including two Cup Series victories—one at Sonoma Raceway in 2022 and another at Atlanta Motor Speedway in 2024.

“We had great successes as a team and I gained some incredible friends. We took a team nobody had even heard of in 2021 and in just a couple of years we were winning races and running upfront on a weekly basis.

“Just like the seasons in a year, sometimes things change and we have agreed to each go in our own direction. I wish Trackhouse nothing but the best, this 99 team will always be special to me.

“And like I always say, The best is ahead!”

Trackhouse Racing’s founder, Justin Marks, also issued a heartfelt statement praising Suarez’s role in the team’s origin story and its first five years of competition.

“The role Daniel has played in the Trackhouse origin story and its first five years will remain a valued part of the company’s history forever,” he said. “His commitment, work ethic and dedication to the effort is one of the most impressive things I personally have seen in my career.

For Trackhouse Racing, the search for a new driver to fill the No. 99 Chevrolet seat will be a critical step in shaping the team’s next chapter.

Reports have already suggested that the team may consider promoting rising star Connor Zilisch, who has impressed in the Xfinity Series and made select Cup Series starts for Trackhouse in 2025.
