Unveiled: Racing Bulls livery for F1 British GP

The one-off design created in partnership with global fashion brand HUGO and acclaimed Nigerian-born London-based artist Olaolu Slawn was revealed in a high-profile event at the Flannels X store in London, attended by drivers Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar alongside the artist himself.

The team known officially as Visa Cash App Racing Bulls (VCARB) has made a name for itself through innovative collaborations and visually striking liveries, but the latest endeavor stands out for its sheer artistic audacity and cultural resonance.

Slawn’s signature caricature-style street art dominates the VCARB 02’s new look, transforming the car’s traditional white base into a vibrant, expressive canvas that pulses with energy and color.

The special Racing Bulls livery is not limited to the car itself; it extends to the drivers’ race suits and the entire team kit, ensuring a unified and unmistakable presence throughout the British Grand Prix weekend.

The collaboration also includes a unique twist—Slawn will be present in the paddock on Thursday, working alongside Lawson and Hadjar to “design the garage in real life,” effectively turning the team’s workspace into a live art installation.

Team CEO Peter Bayer highlighted the significance of the collaboration stating: “Slawn’s work is unlike anything we’ve seen in Formula 1 and that’s exactly why this collaboration felt right.

“Partnering with HUGO and Slawn has allowed us to push creative boundaries in a way that reflects the bold identity of our team. F1 Silverstone is a massive moment in the season, and we’re proud to bring something completely original to our fans.”

The artistic direction of the livery is deeply personal for Slawn, whose work is rooted in his Yoruba heritage and the dynamic urban culture of London. His pop-art, graffiti-inspired style has earned him widespread recognition, most recently for designing the Emirates FA Cup trophy earlier this year.

The timing of the collaboration is particularly significant for Racing Bulls. The team arrives at F1 Silverstone buoyed by a strong performance in Austria where Liam Lawson secured P6, marking one of the squad’s best results of the season and propelling them ahead of Haas in the championship standings.

The 2025 British Grand Prix is shaping up to be a showcase of creativity across the paddock, with several teams unveiling special liveries to mark the occasion.

Williams Racing has introduced a subtle redesign featuring red and white accents on its FW47, paying homage to its British heritage with a Union Jack on the nosecone. McLaren, too, is nodding to its past with a chrome-inspired livery that recalls the era of Lewis Hamilton’s 2008 championship win.
