Louis Foster claimed his first career IndyCar pole position after beating reigning series champion and current points leader Alex Palou with a mere 0.1159 seconds.
Kyle Kirkwood secured third on the grid after overcoming technical issues with his car’s MGU, while Scott McLaughlin was the highest-placed Team Penske driver in fourth.
Arrow McLaren’s Christian Lundgaard will start from fifth ahead of RLLR’s Graham Rahal who rounded out the Fast Six, giving his team two cars in the pole shootout.
Will Power, David Malukas, Callum Ilott, Josef Newgarden, Pato O’Ward, and Felix Rosenqvist rounded out the Fast 12.
