Updated F1 Monaco GP Qualifying Results 2025 and Formula 1 starting grid following penalties.

Lando Norris seized pole position with a scintillating final lap, just one-tenth of a second ahead of home favorite Charles Leclerc while Oscar Piastri rounded out the top three, demonstrating McLaren’s impressive pace and strategic execution.

Lewis Hamilton, making his Monaco debut in Ferrari colors, initially qualified fourth. However, the seven-time world champion was was handed a three-place grid penalty for impeding Max Verstappen during Q1, dropping him from fourth to seventh on the starting grid.

The penalty had a ripple effect throughout the field. Verstappen who initially qualified fifth was promoted to fourth ahead of Racing Bulls’ Isack Hadjar who was elevated to fifth while Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso moved up to sixth.

However, the penalties did not stop with Hamilton as Haas rookie Oliver Bearman was also handed a ten-place grid penalty for overtaking under a red flag. Bearman who had qualified 17th will now start from the penultimate position on the grid.

Meanwhile, Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll received two separate penalties—a one-place drop for colliding with Leclerc during Friday practice and a further three-place penalty for impeding Pierre Gasly during qualifying.

Stroll who qualified 19th will start from the very back of the grid alongside Bearman.
