Checkout the updated F1 Canadian Grand Prix 2025 starting grid following penalties for Isack Hadjar and Yuki Tsunoda.
George Russell claimed his first pole position in the 2025 Formula 1 season ahead of Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri who locked out the front row starting spots for Sunday’s race.
Kimi Antonelli’s impressive form in qualifying secured fourth place for Mercedes while Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso rounded out the second row in fifth and sixth respectively. Lando Norris settled for seventh after enduring a frustrating session, while Charles Leclerc secured eighth.
Isack Hadjar initially qualified ninth for Racing Bulls but a subsequent three-place grid penalty for his earlier impeding incident relegates him to 12th on the grid.
Meanwhile, Yuki Tsunoda who finished 11th in qualifying will start Sunday’s race from the very back after he was slapped with a 10-place grid penalty for overtaking under red flags during final practice.
This means Alex Albon who initially rounded out the top ten moves up one position while Franco Colapinto and Nico Hulkenberg jump two spots to take 10th and 11th respectively.
