Lewis Hamilton lines up fourth for Ferrari after a solid qualifying performance, eager to break his run of 13 races without a podium finish. George Russell represents Mercedes in fifth joined by Liam Lawson who put his Racing Bulls entry sixth on the grid.
Reigning world champion Max Verstappen will start down in seventh at Red Bull’s home race with Kick Sauber rookie Gabriel Bortoleto joining him in the fourth row.
Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli and Alpine’s Pierre Gasly round out the fifth row.
