Oscar Piastri extends his lead to 22 points over his McLaren teammate Lando Norris following a dramatic collision between the two that saw Norris leave Canada with a DNF.
Max Verstappen remains third in the F1 drivers standings after finishing second in Montreal, reducing his deficit to Piastri to 43 points.
George Russell’s win propelled him to fourth in the standings with 136 points while his teammate Kimi Antonelli’s maiden podium also contributed valuable points, helping Mercedes close the gap on McLaren in the constructors’ championship.
