The highly anticipated F1 22 video game will be published on Friday, July 1st, with Charles Leclerc as the cover star.

Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc has been named an official EA Sports ambassador and will be featured prominently in F1 22’s Standard Edition, alongside fellow young stars George Russell and Lando Norris.

EA and Codemasters have also released the first gameplay trailer from the Miami International Autodrome, after the announcement of F1 2022’s debut date. Before the Miami Grand Prix is completed, Codemasters worked closely with the FIA to incorporate it into their future racing game.

EA Sports announced the signing of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc as the first F1 ambassador alongside the new gameplay trailer. He’ll be on the cover of F1 22 alongside Lando Norris of McLaren and George Russell of Mercedes.

Four other legendary drivers will be featured in the F1 22 Champions Edition: Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, and Max Verstappen. This edition, unlike the Standard Edition, includes bonus content such as a time-limited Miami-inspired pack and three days of early access.

F1 22 introduces significant changes to the sport, including a rule reform aimed at reimagining the race weekend with three F1 Sprint races. F1 22 includes a new Adaptive AI to assist casual fans, in addition to the fast-paced, genuine simulation racing experience that dedicated gamers have come to expect.

In addition, the game will include a new F1 Life hub where players can display their collection of customisation items and supercars that they have acquired through gameplay, Podium Pass, or in-game purchases.

A few old elements are also making a comeback, such as the 10-year Career, which now includes a two-player option, My Team, and Multiplayer.

F1 22 will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on July 1st (via EA App, Origin, Steam, and Epic Games Store). Players that pre-order the digital-only F1 22 Champions Edition will receive additional material and three days of early access, as previously stated.
